Communications Specialist

New River Electrical Corporation, a leader in electrical contracting services for the utility and industrial markets, is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our Communications & Public Relations team. This role focuses on enhancing our company's communications and public relations efforts, ensuring clear and effective internal and external communication that aligns with our business goals. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating strategic communication plans, managing various communication channels, and developing content that resonates with diverse audiences. Develop and implement strategic communication plans to strengthen company awareness and market presence. Collaborate with management to identify and manage communications opportunities and risks. Create, edit, and distribute content including press releases, newsletters, and company announcements. Manage the company's social media profiles and presence, ensuring engagement and alignment with marketing strategies. Coordinate public relations activities and events to enhance the company?s image and corporate social responsibility. Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies. Handle internal communication initiatives to ensure staff are informed of company developments. Provide communication support during crises or adverse events affecting the company. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools Strong editing and proofreading abilities Ability to work collaboratively across departments Experience with public relations and media outreach Skilled in crisis management communications
