Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/08/2025 Duration: 19 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Contract Details Start Date: 9/8/2025 End Date: 1/17/2026 Shift: 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Rotate every other holiday On-Call/Call Back: None Float: May float to NICU as needed Charting: Epic Requirements Licensure: WI RN license or Compact RN license Certifications (AHA): BLS PALS ACLS (preferred, not required) Education: Required: Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) Experience: Minimum 18 months in high-acuity cardiac PICU Level I Trauma experience highly preferred Skills: Strong critical thinking and cardiac assessment skills Experience in high-acuity cardiac care including: open heart surgeries, heart transplants, and open chests Care for hemodynamically compromised patients and patients with impending respiratory failure Unit Information Beds: 24 Patient Population: Neonates/infants to adult congenital cardiac patients Unit Type: Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nursing Role: Coordination and management of patient care for complex cardiac cases, including post-operative cardiac surgery and transplant patients Dress Code & Policies Scrubs: Any professional scrubs Jewelry: One small nose stud allowed No other visible piercings except ear piercings Flesh-colored or clear piercing plugs allowed Flu Vaccine: Required – No exemptions About Trustaff Our nurse-first attitude has set us apart from other travel nursing agencies When you join the Trustaff family, you’re more than just a body filling a role—you're a vibrant individual with dreams and aspirations.
