About the Role – Sr. HR Generalist The Sr. HR Generalist will provide comprehensive Human Resources support across core areas such as employee relations, talent acquisition, training & development, compliance, and HR operations. This role ensures alignment between HR strategy and business objectives, fosters a high-performance culture, and guarantees compliance with local labor laws and international quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field. 7 years of HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or automotive plant environment. Strong knowledge of Mexican labor laws (LFT, STPS), NOM-035, and industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001). Experience in unionized and non-unionized environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to work cross-functionally. Proficiency in HRIS systems (SuccessFactors, SAP HR, or similar). Bilingual (Spanish & English). Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Compliance Act as a trusted HR partner for employees and leadership. Manage employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and grievance handling. Ensure full compliance with labor laws, union agreements (if applicable), and quality standards. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Partner with managers to identify critical talent needs. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes. Support strategies for talent retention and succession planning. Training & Development Assess training needs and coordinate development programs (leadership, technical, soft skills). Ensure compliance with mandatory training (safety, ISO/IATF, workplace ethics). HR Operations & Payroll Support Maintain HR records, documentation, and attendance. Support payroll processes with accuracy in shifts, overtime, and benefits. Collaborate with finance and operations on workforce planning. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement Implement performance evaluation and goal-setting frameworks. Support performance improvement and career development plans. Drive HR process improvements leveraging Lean/Kaizen methodologies. Functional Areas of Expertise Strategic HR management in manufacturing environments. Union relations and contract negotiations. Workforce planning, budgeting, and KPI tracking. Talent acquisition across multiple levels. Community and employee relations. Training, coaching, and leadership development.
