Job Description

1. Manages the flow of materials to meet customer demand. Oversees the processes and resources (internal and external) required to produce and deliver finished goods. 2. Coordinates processes and resources necessary to produce and deliver finished products. 3. Ensures the supply of raw materials and plans short- and long-term inventory needs to fulfill the production schedule. 4. Optimizes the supply chain through supplier evaluations. Maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, customs brokers, and freight carriers, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations, in coordination with the shelter. 5. Responsible for the following areas: Purchasing, Inventory and Production Control, Raw Material and Finished Goods Warehousing, and Traffic operations, including customs documentation with Mexican and U.S. authorities, and compliance with the Ministry of Economy, aligned with information and reporting requirements of the shelter. 6. Responsible for providing accurate information related to product invoicing and export documentation. 7. Leads company initiatives for material cost reduction. Ensures that projects and tasks are completed on schedule and within budget 8. Ensures that all applicable controls are in place to maintain the integrity of the Inventory Control System. Co-responsible, along with accounting, for the validation of the company’s Information Systems related to Accounts Payable, Inventory, Cost Accounting, etc. 9. Optimizes key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Supply Chain department, such as Inventory Turnover, Customer Service, and On-Time Deliveries. 10. Develops, negotiates, and manages departmental objectives and budgets, as well as strategies and action plans to achieve them. Reviews and approves procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Materials and Production Control functions. 11. Responsible for recruiting, training, developing, motivating, and acting as a facilitator for department staff. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering/Supply Chain management or equivalent practical experience required. Over 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management. Knowledge in MRPII, JIT, KANBAN. Experience with Traffic and Customs procedures. Experience with DFT (Demand Flow Technology). APICS Certification or Diploma in Materials Management is desirable. ENGLISH LEVEL: Advanced – Strong reading and writing skills enabling fluent project presentations and participation in negotiation processes.
