NP Nurse Practitioner

Job Description Job Description We are seeking an NP Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses in people receiving dialysis Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments, using approved algorithms as well as clinical judgement. Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients Implement patient management policies and procedures Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities after discussion with nephrologists Communicate with collaborating nephrologist regarding patient care Qualifications: Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields, preferably in dialysis Ability to build rapport with patients is very important in this chronically ill population Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Collaborative in team care with nursing, nutritionists and social workers, as well as primary nephrologists.
