Plant Manager

A leading manufacturing company in the glass production sector is seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to join their Rustenburg team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics, financial controls, and compliance with relevant legislation, and will thrive on driving efficiency, ensuring safety, and leading large teams to operational excellence. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day plant operations including production, logistics, and maintenance. Plan daily staffing and vehicle scheduling requirements. Coordinate plant and vehicle maintenance. Manage stock levels of consumables (e.g. diesel, oil, stationery). Monitor and ensure timely stock takes (daily, weekly, month-end). Organise and facilitate necessary meetings and training (e.g. health and safety). Ensure compliance with statutory checks and renewals. Support recruitment processes and handle IR (Industrial Relations) matters. Ensure all staff are present and performing in line with operational targets. Requirements Matric. Degree or Diploma in Management or related field. Valid Code 8 Drivers Licence. 3 to 5 years experience in a plant or operations management role. Proven ability to lead large teams effectively. Working knowledge of EE, OSH, SHE, and BCE legislation. Strong understanding of logistics, finance, and production processes. Experience in recruitment and managing IR matters.
