Job Description
Position available for a People Officer who will be based in Lichtenburg. Must have: Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably Honors Degree in People Management or Industrial Psychology. A minimum of 5 years experience in generalist People Management-related functions and experience in the mining, construction and manufacturing industries would be advantageous. Language proficiencies: English; Afrikaans and Setswana would be advantageous. Perform Generalist PM functions (Payroll, Benefits & People Processes Administration) Recruitment and Selection, Organisational development, Employment Equity oversight, Employee Relations. Ability to address employee relations professionally, consistently, fairly, and with empathy. In-depth knowledge of people management best practices. Experience & knowledge of People Management Information Systems (SAGE 300 People would be preferred). Ability to work under pressure and independently without close supervision to tight deadlines. Ability to plan, organize and control priorities with good administrative and communication skills. Must have knowledge of applicable Legislation relevant to People Management.
