Job & Company Descriptions A global leader in optical innovation is seeking a commercially minded, analytically driven professional to join their team as a Financial & Commercial Analyst . In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to profitable growth. Youll work closely across departments, analyse trends, and identify opportunities that have a tangible impact on the business. As a Financial & Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for the following: Analyse sales, margin, pricing, customer, and product data to inform commercial strategies. Develop and maintain dashboards, models, and KPIs to track and enhance performance. Conduct variance analysis (volume/price/mix) and profitability reviews by product, channel, or customer. Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with financial insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business cases, campaigns, and investment returns. Identify risks, opportunities, and initiatives to optimise revenue and reduce costs. Present actionable recommendations to senior leadership through clear, impactful reports. Assist with pricing reviews and contract analysis. Monitor market and competitor activity to guide strategic decisions. Enhance data quality, reporting tools, and analytical processes. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Honours/Masters advantageous). 3 6 years experience in commercial or financial analysis within a data-driven environment. Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView) preferred. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and familiarity with SQL, Python, or Power Query is a plus. Exceptional business acumen with a passion for turning data into actionable insights. Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex information for stakeholders. Proactive, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
