Procurement Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Waterloo, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee purchasing processes, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to support business operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, combining in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.Responsibilities:- Manage the procurement of computer software, hardware, and marketing services, ensuring the best value and quality.- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure optimal agreements for the organization.- Review and refine contracts and order forms in collaboration with the legal department to meet organizational standards.- Coordinate license renewals and ensure compliance with Master Service Agreements.- Support marketing initiatives by organizing trade show purchases and related contracts.- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with company objectives.- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and service quality.- Partner with another Procurement Specialist to optimize purchasing processes and strategies.- Monitor and manage purchase orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.- Provide effective communication with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate decision-making.- Proven experience in procurement, particularly in the technology or software industry.- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms in contracts.- Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and coordinating purchase orders.- Familiarity with reviewing legal contracts and Master Service Agreements.- Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and decision-makers.- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in procurement documentation.- Knowledge of corporate procurement practices and pricing strategies.- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
