Professional Quantity Surveyor

A dynamic and well-established multi-disciplinary consulting firm is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team, based in Plattekloof. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a diverse team of professionals in architecture and engineering, contributing to a wide range of impactful projects across multiple sectors. Requirements: BTech or BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying Professional Registration (PrQS) 610 years of relevant industry experience Valid drivers license Key Responsibilities: Review and evaluate design documentation Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates Compile bills of quantities and contract documentation Perform financial evaluations of tenders Manage cost control functions including valuations, variation orders, and cost reports Prepare and negotiate final accounts Conduct site visits and attend project meetings Prepare repair estimates, damage costings, and viability studies Liaise with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and fellow Quantity Surveyors Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent attention to detail Proficiency in MS Excel and other QS software Effective time management and organisational abilities Skilled in budgeting, estimating, procurement, and cost control Confident negotiator with a proactive approach to quality assurance The successful candidate will thrive in a professional, ethical, and inclusive work environment that values both performance and team collaboration.
