Operational Supervisor

A leading transportation and logistics company is looking for an experienced Operational Supervisor to join their team in Parow . This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute Operational Supervisor to drive growth by maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing costs and monitoring transportation to ensure funds are properly utilized. Responsibilities: Supervise assigned drivers and monitors daily to ensure proper and consistent performance. Allocate driver assignments and trips. Ensure compliance with safety standards. Conduct spot checks to ensure assigned vehicles are maintained and in good working order. Evaluate the performance of drivers and applicants to ensure they meet company requirements. Conduct daily vehicle and driver assessments. Verify the trip schedule with the bookings department. Train and assist drivers and monitors on student behaviour management and other work-related situations. Provide training to drivers and monitors on proper wheelchair securement and requirements for passengers with special needs. Drive buses of varying sizes on designated routes when required. Conduct field investigations of vehicular accidents involving buses. Assist regulators as required. Requirements: Previous experience in a field such as transportation and logistics management is required. Two to three years of relevant work experience are necessary. Basic computer skills are essential, including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Pastel. Sound knowledge of transport operations demands is needed. A proven track record in scheduling and managing others is required. Previous driving experience and knowledge of passenger vehicles is necessary.
