HR Generalist

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our well respected clients team in Ottawa, Ontario, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing a wide range of human resources functions, from recruitment and employee relations to benefits administration and policy implementation. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while utilizing your HR expertise.Responsibilities:- Oversee employee benefits programs, including liaising with providers and resolving any related issues.- Maintain and organize employee records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and reference checks.- Draft and update employment contracts and handle matters related to short-term and long-term leaves.- Monitor and track HR metrics, such as employee attendance and performance trends.- Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure workplace compliance.- Support employees and management with HR-related inquiries, offering guidance on best practices.- Coordinate training sessions and development initiatives to foster employee growth.- Utilize HR systems, including BambooHR, for tracking and reporting purposes.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and programs.Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a human resources generalist role.- Proficiency with HR systems such as BambooHR, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian Dayforce.- Strong knowledge of HR practices, including recruitment, benefits administration, and policy development.- Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset.- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations in Ontario.If you have an interest in this role and hold the required qualifications, please do not hesitate and apply online today!Job Reference Number: 0013263023Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
