Solar Civil Engineer

From commercial rooftops to large-scale ground-mounted systems, your work will power schools, farms, malls, and communities with clean, reliable energy. Key Responsibilities: Design and analyze foundations, steel structures, and mounting systems for solar projects. Conduct structural calculations for wind and load resistance (especially for carports, trackers, and rooftops). Visit project sites to perform inspections, surveys, and quality checks. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to bring solar projects from concept to completion. Ensure that all work complies with SANS codes and relevant municipal/structural regulations. Job Experience & Skills Required: BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering. 3 years of relevant experience (preferably with solar, structural, or steel-based projects). Proficient in AutoCAD and at least one structural analysis software (e.g. STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or Robot). Familiarity with civil standards, construction methods, and geotechnical fundamentals.
