About the role: This job provides critical support for software-driven, electromechanical systems for testing electric motors and generators in a manufacturing environment. This role represents the Engineering Instrumentation Team at the plant level and acts as a subject matter expert for test equipment. This role interfaces with internal resources and external vendors for rapid test system problem-solving and issue resolution. The ability to safely, accurately, and confidently performs duties are key to success in this position. Primary Responsibilities Ensure test result accuracy and test system uptime through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test equipment Lead or assist in the installation of new test equipment, including electrical connection, mechanical assembly, and training of maintenance personnel & equipment operators Lead relocation and recommissioning of test systems in coordination with manufacturing engineering Prepare layout and installation diagrams of electrical and mechanical equipment Maintain test system design, maintenance, operation, and training documentation Seek quotes and request purchase of electrical and mechanical devices used in construction and repair of equipment Support validation of test equipment software changes Identify test system improvement actions and manage implementation of approved action plans Collaborate with MGM Quality team and Instrumentation Team to ensure test equipment calibration is maintained and appropriate for the test requirements Maintain tracking and documentation of issues and resolutions in support of key metrics and building shared knowledge capture Desired Education / Experience / Skills Experience applying safe work practices to maintenance and repair of industrial equipment Strong knowledge of AC and DC electricity Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Logical approach to problem solving and diagnosing root causes Able to use electronics measurement equipment to troubleshoot electrical systems Working knowledge of computers and associated software Experience selecting and applying precision test equipment, preferably including NI (National Instruments) Working knowledge of industrial equipment construction and wiring. Demonstrated attention to details, quality, and safety Experience in testing motors, generators, and other related products CAD (Solidworks / Draftsight) Significant technical experience with demonstrated accomplishments Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical engineering or equivalent required Travel: Occasional travel, including to United States for training periods of two-weeks or longer Language: English/Spanish Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per month Work Location: In person J-18808-Ljbffr
