School Administrator Leith Walk Primary School Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional) Hours: 28 per week, 40 weeks sessional Working pattern: Monday, Thursday and Friday 8am to 12:45pm with a 15 minute unpaid break. Tuesday and Wednesday 8am to 3:45pm with a 30 minute unpaid break. Leith Walk Primary is actively looking to recruit an organised and methodical School Administrator to work collaboratively the School Office and Leadership Teams. In addition to ownership of all School Administrator duties, the role also requires regular interaction with colleagues, pupils and parents both over the phone and in person, so strong interaction skills are required. The successful candidate will provide and operate financial management, integrated management information and budgetary information systems and services for the school. They will also manage and provide the delivery of a wide range of administrative, clerical, secretarial and general office support services. Leith Walk Primary School is one of the oldest primary schools in Edinburgh, dating back to 1876. The school enjoys extensive links with the cluster schools and the local, wider community. Our Senior Leadership Team consists of a Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Principal Teacher and Business Manager. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
