Mechanical Supervisor – Essex Salary: £55,000 Travel/Fuel Card (Own Vehicle Required) Sector: NHS & Education Projects Type: Permanent, Full-Time We are working with a well-established, family-owned contractor that has been delivering mechanical services since the 1960s. With a strong reputation built on decades of quality work, they are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their team. The Role: As Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installations across NHS and school projects. You will ensure works are delivered on time, to spec, and in line with health & safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise site-based mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) * Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers * Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and client specifications * Maintain accurate site records and progress reports * Lead toolbox talks and enforce safety procedures Requirements: * Proven experience supervising mechanical works on NHS and school schemes * Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building services * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings * SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred) * Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (travel/fuel card provided) Why Join? * Work with a respected and long-standing contractor * Stable projects in public sector environments * Competitive salary and travel support * Opportunity to work in a close-knit, supportive team
