Foreman

We are recruiting for an experienced Night Foreman on behalf of a leading Highways Contractor to join the team delivering the Comberton Greenway Project in Cambridge. The Role You will oversee and coordinate night-time site activities, ensuring that all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. This is a highways-focused scheme, with works delivered through our supply chain, which you will be responsible for managing and supervising. Project Scope includes: * Widening existing footpaths (either at the back or into the carriageway) * Resurfacing local highways and pathways * Installation of speed bumps, signage, and road markings * Junction re-modelling * Supply chain management and quality assurance * Occasional direct delivery support (e.g., temporary basins, fencing setup) Essential Requirements * SMSTS or SSSTS certification * Valid UK Driving Licence * Minimum 5 years’ groundworks experience * IT literate (site diary maintained electronically) What We’re Looking For We are seeking a strong leader with highways or civils experience, confident in managing subcontractors, driving productivity, and maintaining strict health & safety standards during night works.
