Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor – £35m Fit-Out Project (North West) Location: Site-based in Liverpool with occasional travel to Manchester Salary: £85,000 – £105,000 (DOE) Package Company: Fast-Growing Fit-Out Contractor An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on a high-profile £35 million fit-out project in Liverpool. This is a pivotal role within a rapidly growing contractor that is delivering standout projects across the North West. As the commercial lead, you’ll be involved from pre-construction through to final account, overseeing procurement, managing subcontractor packages, and ensuring cost control and commercial success throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: * Lead all commercial activities for the £35m Liverpool fit-out scheme * Take ownership of tendering, procurement, and subcontractor management * Prepare and manage CVRs, valuations, cost reporting, and forecasting * Ensure projects are delivered on budget and in line with financial targets * Identify risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability * Provide strategic commercial advice to project and operational teams * Negotiate and manage contract terms, variations, and final accounts * Attend site and client meetings, reporting directly to the Commercial Director * Collaborate with the wider team and assist in developing junior QS staff * Occasionally travel to Manchester to support their flagship fit-out project About You: * Proven experience as a Senior QS on high-value commercial or fit-out projects * Strong pre- and post-contract experience, with an analytical and detail-driven mindset * Ability to work autonomously and manage the commercial function of a major project * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Willingness to travel between Liverpool and Manchester as required * Ambitious, with a desire to grow into a regional leadership role Why Join? * Be the commercial lead on one of the North West’s most exciting fit-out projects * Join a business in rapid growth, with a clear path to regional leadership * Work on flagship schemes with prestigious clients and high design ambition * Competitive salary up to £105,000 benefits package If you're a commercially astute Senior QS looking to take the next step in your career and lead the commercial function of a growing contractor’s North West operations, we want to hear from you.
