Material Planner

Role Overview As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of materials required for production. This includes managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and working cross-functionally with purchasing, production, and logistics teams. You will play a key role in supporting operational performance and minimising disruptions to the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule materials to meet production requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels Monitor and manage stock levels using ERP/MRP systems Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues Maintain accurate material planning data including lead times, safety stock, and order quantities Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to align supply plans with production schedules Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as required Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function Requirements Previous experience in a material planning, production planning, or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills A proactive, team-oriented mindset At Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
