Freelance Site Manager – New Build Commercial Project (Timber Frame & R/C Works) Location: Accrington Duration: 4 Months Sector: Commercial New Build Rate: Competitive Day Rate Start Date: 22nd September We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected building and civil engineering contractor for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new build commercial project. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a family-feel business that places its people and partnerships at the heart of everything they do. The Project A commercial new build development involving: * Timber frame construction * Reinforced concrete foundations and pads This is a fast-paced project requiring a strong leader with a good eye for quality, safety, and programme. Responsibilities As Site Manager, you will be responsible for: * Day-to-day site management and coordination of trades * Ensuring health & safety standards are adhered to at all times * Managing programme timelines and reporting to senior management * Liaising with the client, consultants, and subcontractors * Overseeing groundwork and timber frame packages * Driving a positive, solutions-focused site culture Requirements * Proven experience managing commercial new build sites * Background in both RC groundwork/foundations and timber frame construction * SMSTS, CSCS (Black card preferred), First Aid * Strong leadership and communication skills * Able to hit the ground running and manage site independently The Client This contractor is known for: * Delivering high-quality building and civils projects across the UK * Long-standing relationships and repeat business with key clients * A supportive and tight-knit team culture where staff are genuinely valued * A professional but personable approach to construction Interested?
