Freelance Façades Consultant – Nationwide Location: Nationwide (UK travel required) Contract Type: Freelance Start Date: Immediate Duration: Ongoing / Project-Based We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Freelance Façades Consultant to support a variety of construction and refurbishment projects across the UK. The role involves both technical advisory and on-site inspections for façade systems on commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings. Key Responsibilities: * Provide expert advice on façade design, performance, materials, and compliance * Conduct site inspections and condition surveys of new and existing façades * Review and comment on technical drawings, specifications, and contractor proposals * Support clients with façade strategy, detailing, and buildability reviews * Ensure compliance with relevant standards * Provide written reports, risk assessments, and technical documentation Requirements: * Strong background in façade engineering or façade consultancy * Experience with curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and envelope performance * Knowledge of UK fire safety standards * Excellent technical writing and communication skills * Ability to travel to sites across the UK as needed This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Approach Personnel Ltd that is operating as an employment business.
