Assistant Site Manager – New Build Housing Location: Glossop Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum Reporting to: Site Manager Company Overview My client is a leading UK construction company delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects across residential, commercial, and education sectors. Role Overview We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our new build housing division. You will play a key role in supporting the management of live projects, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your first project will be a 156-unit housing development in Glossop, which has recently commenced. Key Responsibilities Ensure effective Health and Safety management on live projects. Support the delivery of quality projects within set timeframes. Act as a site-based Project Manager, reporting to the visiting Contracts Manager. Achieve customer satisfaction through effective handover and aftercare. Assist in establishing and maintaining the company and site image. Manage staff to ensure duties are carried out in line with company policies and procedures. Support in achieving set project profit targets. Requirements Proven experience managing multiple phased live environments, including Care Homes, extensions, refurbishments, and fit outs. SMSTS certification. First Aid (3-day) qualification. CSCS card. Experience working with a main contractor. Strong commitment to Health & Safety. Good IT skills. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
