Site Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager, Site Agent or Sub-Agent to join a highways project in Somerset, covering Taunton and the surrounding areas. This role offers a great opportunity to join a small, friendly site team delivering essential local authority highway works. The Role: * Oversee and manage highways projects across multiple sites. * Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and team members to ensure smooth delivery. * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards. * Manage workload independently, prioritising tasks and coordinating site activities. * Work across a range of projects, with some evening or late shifts required (limited). Requirements: * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential). * Proven experience in highways and local authority works. * Ability to work independently and travel between sites. * Reliable, proactive, and highly organised. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Details: * Location: Taunton & surrounding Somerset area * Duration: From mid-September, for several months (potential to extend) * Start: ASAP (w/c 15/09 for Black Hat role, w/c 22/09 for Sub-Agent/Agent) * Friendly, supportive site team environment This is an excellent opportunity for someone with highways experience to join a long-running project with potential for ongoing work
