Job Description
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take the commercial lead on our Responsive Maintenance operations, covering reactive repairs & voids across the North East. You'll manage all aspects of cost control, forecasting, and reporting, while also supporting and developing a small team of Quantity Surveyors. Client Details Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Seaham, supporting the delivery of a new multi million pound Social Housing R&M contract. If you have a strong background in responsive repairs and commercial management, this is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping the success of a major regional contract. Description Oversee commercial management for responsive repairs and voids works Prepare and manage cost plans, valuations, and final accounts Lead procurement and subcontractor management processes Provide monthly cost value reports and financial forecasting Administer payments, variations, and change orders Mentor and guide junior QS team members Engage with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery Profile Proven background in responsive repairs within Social Housing Experience managing or mentoring junior QS team members (desirable) Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word Capable of planning and prioritising a busy workload A team player with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude Highly organised and detail-oriented Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines Confident when dealing with clients and stakeholders Job Offer £65-75k base salary £5k Car allowance Bonus Scheme Pension Scheme 25 days annual leave ( public holidays) Life Cover equivalent to 2 times annual salary Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers Gym membership discounts Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalised support programmes
