Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Durham/Northeast region Salary: £75,000/£80,000 Package (D.O.E) Our client a large regional contractor are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to cover new build commercial/industrial/logistics/healthcare schemes throughout the Northeast region. Job Role: * Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility * Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project timeframe * Negotiating labour contracts and schedules * Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes * Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs * Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment * Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients * Mentoring Junior personnel within the commercial team You must hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying and have a minumum 5 years work experience within the Construction Industry.
