M&E Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £60,000 - £85,000 Package (Car Allowance Travel Pension Private Healthcare Discretionary Bonus) CLIENT: My client has established themselves as one of the UK’s leading M&E Contractors, having a strong 75 years history within the UK, they have grown their turnover to over £250m per annum. The business boasts a track record of delivering some of the UK’s and London’s landmark projects. Typically, they specialise in major shell and core projects in sectors such as commercial offices, healthcare, pharmaceutical, education & more. Despite their size, this Tier 1 M&E Contractor has fantastic staff retention rates with a reputation for looking after their staff. They offer excellent exposure and internal training schemes with a hands-on approach to developing their staff. PROJECTS: Working on a large-scale Commercial and Healthcare projects varying in MEP value anywhere from £5m to £20m throughout South West England; and they have a steady workflow for some of the UK’s largest Main Contractors. Roles & Responsibilities: * Contribute to relevant project procurement strategies with particular focus on the issuing of tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders, whilst working with the Commercial Lead to agree main and subcontract final accounts. * Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets for M&E projects. * Conducting valuations and final accounts. * Collaborating with project teams to ensure commercial success. * Managing subcontractor and supplier negotiations. * Lead as well as assist on projects from a commercial standpoint. * Maximise project cashflow by effective commercial oversight. Ideal Background: * Strong foundation knowledge in Quantity Surveying with exposure to M&E disciplines. * Solid understanding of cost planning, measurement, and valuations. * Relevant qualifications/experience
