Site Manager - Ashford

Job Title: Site Manager – Fast Track Shop Fit Out (Ashford) Duration: 3/4 Weeks (Fast Track Project) Rate: £260 – £280 per shift (DOE) Start Date: 15th September 2025 Our Client: Our client is a well-established interior fit out contractor, delivering high-quality retail and commercial projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a fast-track shop fit in Ashford. The Role: This is a small-scale but high-intensity project requiring a pro active Site Manager who is equally comfortable leading subcontractors, managing programme and quality, to keep the site running smoothly. This is a boots-on-the-ground role that demands presence, drive, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day site operations to deliver the project on time and to specification Coordinate and motivate subcontractors to maintain pace and quality Monitor health & safety compliance at all times Maintain clear and consistent site records and reporting Carry out hands-on tasks as needed, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment Resolve site issues quickly and effectively Liaise with the client and project team to ensure smooth delivery Essential Requirements: Valid CSCS Card (Black, white or Gold) SMSTS qualification First Aid at Work certification Asbestos Awareness certification Fire Marshal training Previous experience in retail or shop fit out projects (fast-track delivery preferred) Strong organisational and leadership skills Willingness to take a hands-on approach where required Excellent communication skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Location: Ashford Rate: £260 – £280 per shift (depending on experience)
