Job Title: Traffic Marshall / Gateman Location: Brixton, Plymouth area Rate: £17 per hour CIS Contract Type: Ongoing – New Build & Refurbishment Project Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Traffic Marshall / Gateman to join our team on a large-scale construction project in the Brixton area. This is a long-term opportunity offering consistent work, competitive pay, and the chance to work as part of a professional and supportive site team. The role will be predominantly focused on Gateman responsibilities (approx. 90%), with some light labouring duties as required. Key Responsibilities: * Control and monitor all site access and egress points. * Direct vehicles and deliveries safely on and off site. * Ensure pedestrian safety around the gate and site entrance. * Keep accurate records of all site traffic and visitors. * Maintain clear communication with site management and logistics teams. * Carry out light labouring tasks when required (e.g., assisting trades, maintaining site tidiness). * Uphold strict site health & safety standards at all times. Candidate Requirements: * Demonstrable experience as a Gateman / Traffic Marshall. * Valid Traffic Marshall / Banksman ticket. * Previous construction site experience, with flexibility to assist with basic labouring duties. * Strong awareness of health & safety protocols. * Excellent communication skills and professional conduct. * Must have own transport to access site.
