Your new company Operating in Northern Ireland's construction sector for over 30 years, this client currently has a requirement for a Construction Planner to work on upcoming projects based solely in Northern Ireland. Operating in both private and public sectors, this medium work-sized construction contractor has developed an exemplary reputation for delivering quality work. With a busy order book and new tenders being issued, your new employer is expecting further work to be secured, meaning that you will have secure employment going forward. With a senior management team in place as well as an experienced Planner to work alongside, this is suited to Junior to Intermediate planners. Your new role Reporting to the Company Directors and Senior Management team, your new role will support the company by identifying, controlling, and forecasting timescales and resourcing requirements for upcoming projects. You will work alongside site-based Project & Contract Managers in implementing best practices and project planning policies, processes, and procedures during the full life cycle of projects from tender through to completion. You will be responsible for accurately identifying and resourcing requirements for projects including labour, plant, and materials. You will provide support for all construction planning functions ensuring that issues or delays within the programme are highlighted and understood by all. This role is suited to Construction Planner of junior to intermediate experience. What you'll need to succeed This is a permanent vacancy with a highly successful company who are well respected and growing by both head count and project wins. Previous experience of working in a construction planning role will be required as well as a good understanding of Microsoft Project or Asta Software programmes will be required. The role will be based in their head office in Portadown or Belfast so you must be able to commute to and from the head office.
