Electrical Engineer Nottingham £40,000 - £50,000 Hybrid Progression Training & Development Diverse Project Portfolio We’re working with a leading building services consultancy that has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Nottingham. The Role You’ll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering projects across a wide range of sectors. This role will see you involved from early feasibility through to detailed, fully co-ordinated design for installation purposes (RIBA stages 0–5). Alongside your technical design work, you’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to project strategy. Key Responsibilities * Deliver coordinated electrical design alongside other disciplines * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards * Supervise and mentor junior engineers and apprentices * Support in setting design strategy and ensuring QA standards are met * Liaise with clients, contractors, and professional teams * Lead small multi-disciplinary teams on projects * Attend client, design team, and project meetings * Undertake feasibility studies, surveys, and site inspections * Prepare load calculations and utility applications * Produce detailed electrical services designs * Review sub-contractor designs and technical submissions About You * Degree or HNC/D in a relevant subject (or equivalent) * Professional membership desirable * Proficient with relevant industry design software * Strong organisational skills with good time management * Team player, with the ability to also work independently Benefits * Competitive salary * 33 days holiday (25 days 8 statutory) * Contributory pension scheme * Healthcare scheme (including optical, dental & other services) * Cycle-to-work scheme * Support for professional development * Regular team socials and events * Easily accessible offices with good transport links
