Job Description
Internal Account Manager – Facilities Management - Manchester based £30,000–£33,000 | Full-Time | Monday–Friday Manchester-based | National contracts portfolio We’re working with a well-established and growing business in the specialist cleaning and waste sector to recruit a proactive Internal Account Manager to join their national contracts team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with FM or soft services experience who thrives in a customer-focused, commercially aware environment. In this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of national clients, act as the first point of contact for service queries, and collaborate closely with field-based account managers, operations, finance, and health & safety teams to deliver a seamless service. You’ll be central to driving client satisfaction, identifying upsell opportunities, and supporting the smooth running of national contracts. Key Responsibilities: * Manage a portfolio of national clients via phone, email, and CRM systems * Act as the first point of contact for service queries, resolving issues efficiently * Identify opportunities to increase account value and reduce potential revenue losses * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery * Monitor service performance against SLAs and KPIs * Maintain accurate client records and activity logs in CRM/job management software * Support credit control processes, ensuring timely invoice payments * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant legislation Ideal Candidate: * Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial or operational FM role * Strong account management, issue resolution, and customer service skills * Comfortable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment * Collaborative team player with a customer-first approach * Experience in cleaning, waste management, or soft services desirable but not essential * Proficient in CRM platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office * Excellent organisational and multitasking skills What’s on offer: * £30,000–£33,000 base salary * 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays) * Enhanced company pension and life assurance * Company sick pay and medical health cash plan * Structured training, development, and career progression * Access to employee benefits platform including wellbeing support This is an exciting chance to join a growing, dynamic business at a pivotal stage, taking ownership of national accounts and making a tangible impact on client satisfaction and business growth.
