National Account Manager Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 Car Allowance: £5,000 Bonus Scheme | Pension | Health Cash Plan Location: Home-based with national travel and regular client/site visits The Opportunity Our client, a market-leading organisation within the Facilities Management and Specialist Cleaning sector, is looking for a dynamic National Account Manager to join their expanding team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute professional with proven B2B account management experience to step into a pivotal role, managing key national clients and driving sustainable growth in a fast-paced, service-led industry. What You’ll Do * Take ownership of national client accounts, acting as the trusted partner and primary point of contact. * Develop and grow relationships at all levels, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion. * Collaborate with project and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. * Lead regular site visits and client review meetings, providing actionable insights and recommendations. * Manage pricing, tendering, and contract reviews to ensure commercial success. * Track revenue forecasts, sales pipelines, and CRM activity to ensure visibility and accurate reporting. * Support the mobilisation of new client accounts, ensuring smooth transitions and strong service uptake. * Proactively manage risks, debt, and client issues with a solutions-focused approach. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of account management processes, sharing best practice across the business. What We’re Looking For * Proven experience in B2B account management, ideally within Facilities Management, Specialist Cleaning, or a service-led environment. * Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. * Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing pricing, margin, and profitability. * Track record of achieving or exceeding targets in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a consultative and solutions-driven approach. * Highly organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise workloads effectively under pressure. * Proficiency with CRM platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications. * Customer-centric mindset with a focus on long-term partnerships and service excellence. Desirable * Experience in Facilities Management, Specialist Cleaning, or related industries. * Minimum 2 years’ experience in Account Management or Internal Account Management. * Ambition to grow into a senior commercial leadership role within FM. * Membership of relevant industry bodies or trade associations.
