The Role We are seeking a skilled Wall and Floor Coverings Operative to join the team on a temporary basis. As a Wall and Floor Coverings Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining housing assets to statutory and regulatory standards, supporting repairs and maintenance works, and delivering high-quality outcomes for tenants. Key Responsibilities * As a Wall and Floor Coverings Operative, install, repair, and maintain wall and floor coverings * Work across repairs, maintenance, and new build environments * Carry out inspections, investigations, and fault-finding to implement effective solutions * Operate tools and equipment safely and follow all site safety procedures * Support first-time fix targets by using elements of other general trades where appropriate * Keep accurate records and work within agreed timescales About You * Experienced in all aspects of floor and wall finishes, including wet-room systems (wet room is preferred but not essential) * Background in repairs, maintenance, new build, or contract work * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Organised, flexible, and able to meet deadlines * Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle (business insurance required and mileage is paid) What’s on Offer * 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday * Immediate start available * Opportunity to support essential housing services and make a positive impact Apply now – we’re shortlisting as applications come in, so early applications are strongly encouraged
