Disrepair Supervisor Location: Walton on Thames Contract: Temporary to Permanent Pay Rate: £27 per hour Are You a Skilled Repairs Supervisor with a Background in Disrepair We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Disrepair Supervisor to lead our team in the Walton on thames area. This is a crucial role focused on managing and overseeing complex disrepair cases within a social housing portfolio. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a hands-on supervisor to secure a long-term position with a stable and reputable contractor. We need someone with proven expertise who can hit the ground running and ensure all work is completed to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities * Supervise, motivate, and manage a team of multi-trade operatives to deliver efficient and high-quality disrepair works. * Conduct pre-inspections to diagnose disrepair issues and scope the necessary work. * Oversee all active disrepair cases, ensuring work is carried out to specifications and within agreed-upon timescales. * Conduct post-inspections to ensure a high-quality finish and resident satisfaction. * Liaise directly with tenants, surveyors, and legal teams to provide updates and resolve any concerns. * Ensure all works comply with current housing legislation and health and safety regulations. * Provide regular reports on project progress, costs, and team performance. Essential Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a supervisor in a reactive repairs or maintenance setting. * A strong background in managing housing disrepair cases is a must. * A solid technical understanding and a relevant trade background (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, plastering). * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. * A full UK driving license.
