Support Worker/Health Care Assistant - Hospital Neuro

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Worker/ Health Care Assistant to work for our client based in Bristol and surrounding areas. Duties & Responsibilities of Support Worker/Health Care Assistant: * Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. * Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process. * Monitor and record patients' progress and changes in condition, reporting relevant details to the nursing staff. * Aid in the administration of prescribed medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals. * Support therapy sessions by preparing necessary equipment and assisting patients during exercises or activities. * Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring that hygiene and safety standards are upheld. * Communicate effectively with both patients and their families, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed. Requirements for Support/ Health Care Assistant: * Previous experience as a Support Worker, Health Care Assistant * Certification in health and social care or related field is highly desirable. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families. * Empathy and a genuine desire to support individuals in their rehabilitation journey. * Understanding of neuro rehabilitation concepts and patient care practices. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. * Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and treatment plans.
