Job Description

Please log into your MySelf account for further instructions on how to apply as an internal candidate. *Fusion Assets, NLP LLP NLC9 £34,926 - £40,695 Based within the Dalziel Building, Motherwell, you will assist the Registrar in respect of the day-to-day supervision of the Registration Team. You will deal with all aspects of the registration of births, deaths and marriages and, subject to authorisation from the Registrar General, conduct civil marriage ceremonies. In addition, you will undertake other duties related to the administration of face-to-face appointments in locality offices. Already experienced in registration duties and dealing with the public in a sensitive and confidential manner, you must possess sound knowledge of the required legislation and regulations. You will possess the Certificate of Proficiency in the Law and Practice of Registration. You will also need an awareness of equality and customer care issues in the context of the constantly changing needs of the registration service. An HNC/SVQ Level 3 qualification in Public/Business Administration or equivalent is essential. You will be an excellent communicator with proven organisational abilities, excellent inter-personal and IT skills. The successful candidate will be expected to; work outwith normal working hours i.e. weekends and evenings; and participate in weekly standby cover, outwith normal working hours on a rota basis, for the registering of deaths when applicable.
