Job Description

Senior Architect Location: Portsmouth Salary: £45-55,000 (depending on experience) We are working with a highly regarded and established architectural practice in Portsmouth that is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to strengthen its expanding team. Known for delivering creative, sustainable, and client-focused solutions, the studio has a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Architect who is ready to step into a senior role, lead major projects, and play a key part in the continued growth of a progressive and design-led practice. Benefits Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance Payment of professional memberships and fees Business mileage reimbursed 5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays Opportunity to influence and deliver a wide variety of projects at a senior level Key Requirements ARB-registered Architect with solid post-qualification experience in UK practice Strong design and technical expertise with advanced Revit skills (essential) Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy, and RIBA work stages Proven ability to lead projects from inception through to delivery, ideally within education, healthcare, or commercial sectors Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines Full UK driving licence Residing in, or within easy reach of, Portsmouth Role Responsibilities Take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring both design quality and technical precision Provide leadership within the studio, supporting, guiding, and mentoring junior staff where required Act as a key liaison for clients, consultants, and contractors, fostering strong and lasting relationships Deliver innovative, sustainable design solutions that align with the practice's ethos Ensure adherence to regulations, planning requirements, and best practice standards Contribute to the strategic direction of the practice and support ongoing business development initiatives To apply, please contact Sophie on (phone number removed) OR alternatively, send your updated CV and Portfolio across to (url removed) I hope to hear from you soon
