Procurement Buyer – IT & Banking Operations Location: Hybrid (with occasional travel to UK hubs) Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Are you a procurement professional ready to make a real impact in the financial services sector? We’re looking for dynamic Buyers to join a forward-thinking procurement team within a leading UK financial institution. This is your chance to shape strategic sourcing decisions across IT and banking operations, helping drive innovation and efficiency in a fast-paced, purpose-led environment. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be at the heart of procurement strategy, supporting key categories such as: IT Infrastructure – Platforms, Cybersecurity, Core Infrastructure, Telecoms Enterprise Applications – Software, Managed Services, IT Services Banking Operations & Services – Credit Risk Agencies, Print Solutions Your role will involve: Leading tendering processes and procurement initiatives Building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers Delivering savings targets aligned with business goals Staying ahead of market trends and supplier capabilities Promoting procurement policy and governance compliance What You’ll Bring To thrive in this role, you’ll need: Proven procurement experience in relevant categories Strong negotiation and influencing skills Confidence and resilience in a change-driven environment Ability to interpret contracts and identify key issues Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Business awareness and sourcing best practices Bonus Skills (Not Essential) CIPS qualification or working towards it Understanding of risk processes Familiarity with commercial and legal terminology Rewards 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Up to 5 paid well-being days per year 20 weeks paid, gender-neutral family leave Market-leading pension scheme Free private medical cover, income protection & life assurance Flexible benefits including Cycle to Work, wellness assessments & more All perks available from day one Why Join?
