Overview R&D Deployment Materials Associate Scientist (Fixed Term Contract) Join to apply for the R&D Deployment Materials Associate Scientist (Fixed Term Contract) role at Kenvue Location Location: Europe / Middle East / Africa, Italy, Lazio, Rome Work Location: Hybrid What You Will Do The Materials Associate Scientist delivers a technical lead to evaluate and execute projects to secure business, ensure compliance, reduce complexity and optimize costs of the Kenvue raw material portfolio (cosmetic and OTC). Lead and execute double sourcing qualification and manage changes (crisis, discontinuation, supplier-driven changes) up to change implementation for the current raw material portfolio. Coordinate support functions (Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing plants, Regulatory Affairs, Analytical, Microbiology, Quality, etc.) and ensure project follow-up. Provide technical support, evaluating impact of changes related to the current raw material portfolio. Work with global leads and functions to develop and manage Global Change Controls for multiple raw materials. Develop Global Change Control Plans and deliverables and own execution of the GCC. Prepare lab batches of semi-solid and liquid products to assess equivalency. Coordinate and interact with internal departments such as Procurement, Analytical, IM / EM sites, QA, PD, Regulatory, Toxicology, Claims and Suppliers. Perform lab data statistical analysis and reporting (Minitab) for raw materials. Prepare Technical Justifications and support manufacturing investigations to guarantee business continuity. Seek guidance from team members and direct Manager as needed. Manage project timelines. Required Qualifications Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or related field is preferred. 2 / 3 years’ experience in R&D Reformulation and / or Product Development (cosmetic & OTC). Ability to work independently and in a global environment. Fluent English; excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving, complexity management and decision-making abilities. Ability to collaborate with different areas (global cross-functional teams, suppliers). Strong passion for science, technology, innovation and problem solving. Working knowledge of TRU, CAPRI, Symphony is preferred. Kenvue is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
