Job Description

The Director, LATAM Sourcing will be based in Mexico City, MX and report to the VP, Sourcing located in the USA. The Director will be responsible for all Direct and Indirect Sourcing categories within LATAM, including but not limited to Resin, Metal, Packaging, Marketing Services, Facility Services, MRO, and Transportation. They will partner with local leadership, departments, and facilities, while coordinating sourcing strategies with US counterparts to ensure full strategic alignment and leveraging economies of scale. They will develop and implement strategies that support regional growth aspirations and deliver industry leading productivity, lead time, service, and payment terms (DPO). They will provide guidance, support, and leadership as they motivate and develop a team of twenty-three (23) sourcing professionals, consisting of three (3) direct reports. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for ~$250M in spend across Direct, Indirect, and D&T Develop productivity funnel to consistently deliver 3% to 4% cost savings annually Extend payment terms to meet or exceed industry benchmarks Ensure supplier on-time delivery, capacity, and lead time to meet service metrics and inventory objectives Identify and qualify suppliers for new products (NPD), regional diversification, risk mitigation, and productivity delivery Lead and support supplier negotiations and contract compliance Lead and develop team of sourcing professionals to successfully achieve objectives and career goals Close collaboration with LATAM GM’s and cross functional business partners to ensure delivery of annual objectives Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sourcing or related field 15 years of relevant sourcing experience required Ability to Travel (20-30%) Strong leadership and communication skills Strong analytic and decision-making skills Conflict management/Resolution experience Superior negotiation skills Ability to influence others Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills Bilingual Communication (Spanish & English) Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point Ability to work in a matrix organization Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Results driven
