Semi-Skilled Steel Fitter (Balustrades & Architectural Metalwork) Location: Wood Green Job Type: Full-time/Contract Salary: £140 to £160 per day We are currently seeking a Semi-Skilled Steel Fitter to join our growing team, specialising in the installation of balustrades and architectural metalwork on a variety of commercial and residential projects. About the Role: You will support our senior fitters and fabrication team in the installation of metal balustrades, handrails, staircases and bespoke architectural steelwork. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with practical site experience, good attention to detail and a positive attitude. Main Responsibilities: Assist with the installation of steel balustrades, handrails and architectural metalwork on-site. Use of hand tools and power tools for fitting and fixing components. Read and interpret basic drawings and instructions. Measure, mark and prepare materials for installation. Work safely and efficiently as part of a team. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Requirements: Previous experience in steel fitting/metalwork or construction (essential). Ability to use power tools and equipment safely. Basic understanding of site health & safety requirements. Ability to read simple engineering drawings (an advantage). Good communication and teamwork skills. CSCS card (preferred but not essential). Full UK driving licence (preferred).
