Senior Commercial Manager Location: North London Uxbridge (Head Office) Package: £125,000pa package Reporting to: Commercial Director Role Overview You'll lead the commercial strategy, oversee procurement and cost control, and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors. This is a high-impact role with visibility at board level, ideal for a commercially astute leader ready to drive value and performance across the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial delivery of a major residential/mixed-use scheme from pre-construction through to final account Develop and implement project-specific commercial strategies aligned with business objectives Oversee procurement of trade packages, ensuring best value and compliance with company policies Manage contract negotiations, risk assessments, and dispute resolution Monitor and report on project financials, including CVRs, forecasts, and board-level reporting Drive value engineering initiatives and challenge design development to optimise cost efficiency Ensure robust cost control, variation management, and timely contractor payments Mentor and manage a team of QSs, fostering professional development and accountability Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Construction, Sales, and Finance teams Represent Commercial interests in design reviews, client meetings, and stakeholder presentations Skills & Experience Proven experience in a senior commercial role within residential or mixed-use development Strong leadership and team management capabilities Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial reporting skills In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC) and procurement strategies Ability to influence at senior levels and present confidently to the board Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline; MRICS preferred What's in it for You? £125,000 salary package Private Medical Insurance Group Pension Scheme & Life Insurance 25 days holiday bank holidays holiday trading scheme Bupa Dental Cover, Virtual GP, Health Cash Plan Cycle to Work, Tech Scheme, Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice Gym discounts, shopping perks via Perkpal If available please apply with your CV or call us on (phone number removed) IND1
