Key Activities & Responsibilities: Apply international codes & standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, EN, NACE, AWS, etc., for materials of construction and fabrication in the chemical, petrochemical, power, and oil & gas industries. Provide technical support on metallurgical issues during design, procurement, testing, and fabrication. Review client specifications and prepare engineering and fabrication specifications based on client requirements and industrial codes and standards. Review welding and heat treatment procedures, material specifications, mill test reports, equipment specifications, and data sheets for compliance with project requirements. Investigate and resolve issues related to metallurgy, materials, testing, and welding arising from clients, suppliers, and contractors, both in vendor shops and at site during plant fabrication. Coordinate with specialized laboratories for failure analysis on materials and welding when necessary. Personal Attributes: Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgical and welding engineering or related occupations. Certifications such as IWE/EWE or IWT/EWT are appreciated. Strong background in metallurgical and welding processes, with knowledge of material selection and corrosion mitigation for piping, equipment, and steel structures in petrochemical, power, and oil & gas industries. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Availability to travel within Italy and abroad for short and long periods. J-18808-Ljbffr
