Job Description
PROCESS CONTROL & AUTOMATION PROJECT LEADER He/She is responsible for the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the assigned budget and the project schedule, assuring the cost optimization. The Project Leader provides feedback to the Head of Department concerning problems arising from the application of standard methods and work instructions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department. He/She conducts technical training as per department and Company needs and exchanges experience with colleagues of the entire Group for new design techniques and keeps up-to-date about the technical improvements of the discipline. Key Activities & Responsibilities To prepare and discuss with the Project Team (PD/PM and PEM) and the Head of Department the execution strategy of the project, and assure its application throughout the entire project life. To cooperate with the Project Engineering Manager and the other Project Leaders, for the preparation, application and maintenance of the project procedures, in compliance to the contractual requirement, the Department general guidelines, and the applicable standards. To participate in the definition of the project schedule, coordinated by the Project Engineering Manager. To guarantee the congruence and feasibility for the part of the project under the leader's responsibility. To assure the coordination of the activities of the discipline regardless of location and distribution of the engineering centers, guaranteeing the consistency of documents with the contract, respect of the time schedule, implementation of the contract requirements, compliance of the assigned budget (cost and man-hours) and the quality of deliverables, under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager and in cooperation with the other Project Leaders. To interact with Client representatives and Vendors for all technical topics impacting the project time and cost. To assist the Project Engineering Manager in identifying and applying technical solutions to optimize project cost in accordance with contractual requirements. To guarantee assistance to departments responsible for inspection, construction and commissioning activities upon request, as per project needs. Personal Attributes Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering in engineering companies or manufacturers of static equipment At least four years of experience as a project leader Experience in coordinating international working groups Fluent English speaker and writer Availability to travel for short/medium periods in Italy and abroad Past experiences in autonomously executing tasks on projects Past experiences in control systems factory acceptance tests and/or plant erection/commissioning Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Industries Oil and Gas and Industrial Machinery Manufacturing J-18808-Ljbffr
