The Role You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Organic Neuroelectronics Research Unit is coordinated by Prof. Fabio Biscarini. The research focuses on micro and nanofabrication of conjugated polymer blends as active components of implantable microgrids. This includes prototyping, fabrication, microscopic assessment, electrochemical characterization, and mechanical characterization. Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be: Formulate polymer blends including molecules and nanoparticles from partners. Produce microgrids with MIMICs and Replica Molding on in-house prototyped masters. Characterize the microgrids. Essential requirements A Master or Laurea Magistrale in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering and similar disciplines, to be acquired before the current deadline. Documented experience in experimental activity in a chemical laboratory, or in a clean room, or in a characterization facility, or an R&D lab with electrical measurement, or in an analytical lab. Laboratory skills, craftsmanship, and attitude to teamwork. Good command of spoken and written English Additional skills Experience in chemistry lab. Knowledge of CAD, and chemical processes. Ability to work in an international environment strongly committed to research Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment Possess analytical reasoning skills and attitude for systematic work. Compensation package A yearly gross salary ranging between 24 keuro and 26 keuro. Private health care coverage depending on your role and contract Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
