Renewables High Voltage Project Engineer Join POWER Engineers as a Renewables High Voltage Project Engineer . We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to work in our Power Delivery Renewable Business Unit. This position can be based in Billings, MT; Salt Lake City, UT; Boise, ID; or Denver, CO, with a hybrid work environment and the ability to work from a location near an established POWER office. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers in bid evaluation and project planning. Lead design teams from conceptual phase through completion, acting as Engineer-of-Record for large substation and gen-tie projects. Prepare technical proposals including scope, schedule, and budget. Serve as a technical liaison with clients, contractors, and vendors. Provide engineering support during construction, including field inspections and witness tests. Mentor junior engineers and grow client relationships. Develop technical specifications for large EPC projects, including scope, schedule, and estimates. Design medium to extra high voltage substations, including diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications. Ensure adherence to quality procedures and manage project schedules and budgets. Required Education & Experience BS in Electrical, Renewable Energy, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. PE license or eligibility to obtain PE. Experience with 15kV to 500kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards. Management experience of 3-5 team members. Proven project engineer experience on multiple projects. Strong communication skills in English. Authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Experience 7 years in substation design.
