Overview Role Overview : This is an exciting opportunity that has arisen due to maternity leave, for a 12-month assignment to become a key member of the Italy Supply Chain Leadership Team. You will leverage your financial technical expertise together with understanding of the operation and commercial drivers, to monitor financial performance, enhance current and future decision-making and deliver continuous improvement to enable growth. The role has one direct report and in addition to the on-site responsibilities interacts regularly with STS Global Supply Chain Finance colleagues across other sites as well as with the central team. Responsibilities Business partnership – as a finance leader and key member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team, immersed in the operation, anticipating, advising and challenging on business performance issues through a financial lens. You will enable leaders and other members of the organisation by providing the insight they need to make informed decisions. Forecasting – in a value-adding manner that articulates clear assumptions and provides strategic commentary to explain variations in performance. Control – design of a control framework for the supply organisation and ensure adherence. Financial cycles – accurate and on-time submission of financial information to standard group templates. Accurate and timely costing activity – including product costing, standard costs, variable costs and inventory reporting. Line management and collaboration – managing one direct report and engaging with STS Global Supply Chain Finance colleagues and central teams. Qualifications and Experience 3-5 years’ experience in a senior Finance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Well-rounded financial experience across multiple disciplines including oversight of costing, AP/AR, payroll, controlling, commercial. Ability to flex between big picture and detail – accurately analyses data and provides accessible insight to support understanding of the issues and enable operational and strategic decision-making. Pragmatic and contextually aware – identifies the appropriate metrics to analyse and effectively interpret data in the context of manufacturing performance (at the relevant unit and timescale). Clear communicator – listens well, takes others’ views on board, and presents data in a simple and structured way that is accessible to different types of audiences. Constructive challenger – is aware of their audience and frames thinking in an accessible way, articulating practical implications and relevant considerations to enrich decisions. Engages at all levels – works effectively with people of all types and disciplines across the site and with central teams. Organised and structured – navigates ambiguity effectively, establishes priorities and coordinates others to deliver to deadlines.
