Java Senior Software Engineer - MLPP - (Hybrid) Join to apply for the Java Senior Software Engineer - MLPP - (Hybrid) role at eDreams ODIGEO As a Java Senior Software Engineer in the Machine Learning Prod Platform Team, you will be based in Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante or Milan (hybrid). The mission is to develop and run the platform and infrastructure to operate our ML models, collaborating closely with Data Scientists to run ML predictions in production and building the tools required by an online ML platform (data tracking, feature store, etc.). What you will do Work with technologies including Java 17, BigData (Kafka, Cassandra, Postgres, BigQuery, BigTable, Redis, Neo4j), machine learning, and Datamesh in a continuous delivery and cloud-based environment (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP). Maintain a high-quality monitoring process with SonarQube and Datadog. Contribute as an engineer who challenges the status quo, brings new ideas, and helps shape how the team builds products and serves customers. What you need to succeed Experience in a senior engineer role driving technical work for other engineers; up-to-date with industry trends and practical application. Provide technical guidance for complex initiatives and deliver strategic technical improvements. Improve code structure and architecture with attention to testability and maintainability; identify opportunities for technical investments to meet objectives. Successfully deliver high-complexity projects with multiple stakeholders, including monitoring and mitigating timeline risks. Mentor teammates through code reviews and architectural reviews; help others grow to the next level. Communicate complex ideas to technical and business stakeholders and align with the broader organization. Team player who collaborates and shares knowledge. Good English level for a multicultural environment (teams with 50 nationalities). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Applied AI Tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or similar). Curiosity and willingness to explore and integrate AI-driven solutions into development workflows. Ability to leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline processes, and boost productivity. Adaptability and learning agility to quickly adopt new AI features. Experience or interest in collaborating with AI tools as “pair programmers”. What’s in it for you?
