Accountant

A dynamic logistics organisation in the East of Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage and oversee key financial functions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in freight and logistics, coupled with hands-on SAP expertise. Key Responsibilities: Manage month-end closure, bank reconciliations, fixed asset management, and income statement preparation. Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards. Support management with reporting on key business drivers and financial insights. Execute ad hoc financial tasks as required. Skills Required: 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the logistics industry Proficient in SAP and well-versed in VAT and tax compliance. Completion of SAIPA and/or SAICA articles. Minimum BCom Accounting degree; Honours advantageous. Strong understanding of accounting policies, procedures, and statutory obligations.
