Your next opportunity We have a 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our IT team based in North Ryde. The Data Analyst will produce data driven insights and support reporting/analytics development to enable the business to make data driven decisions. The role will also (in collaboration with business units across Boral) model Boral’s data entities and structure and provide further insights into our data’s usability (quality, accuracy, currency and relevance). Working closely with a range of business stakeholders, the Data Analyst will need to be able to effectively communicate findings to a wide range of non-technical stakeholders and promote awareness of data driven practices and their benefits across the organisation. Reporting to the Enterprise Architect and Data Lead, this role is critical in analysing the data available within Boral and assisting business stakeholders to general useful insights from this data. Your day will involve: Data analysis: Analyse multiple layers of data to develop insights on both the data and its business meaning. Data modelling: Define and document Boral’s data entities and structure. Data Quality: Assess data accuracy, integrity, and support Data Owners to drive consistency. Collaboration: Work with data engineers, architects and business data owners to achieve the above. What are we looking for? Education: Relevant tertiary level qualifications - degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar. Experience in data analysis, modelling or related fields. Experience with Tableau, Google BigQuery and data visualisation. Experience with multiple delivery methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration. What’s on offer?
